The Maine State Flag
The Maine State flag is blue. In the center is the state seal with a white pine tree
, a moose
in the water, and the state motto "Dirigo" means "I lead" . The first ray of sunlight touches Mt. Cadillac on the east
coast of Maine. The white pine tree is the state tree and the pine coneis our state flower. It is the symbol of our great forests. Maine has a lot of
deciduous and evergreen trees. The water is for all the lakes, ponds, and rivers that can be found in our state. The

chickadee is the state bird. It is a little white and gray bird. On either side
of the center is a farmer that shows that Maine is an agricultural state.
The
fisherman shows that Maine has an important industry in
fishing. Maine lobsters
are sold around the world.
