Weird tuatara can hold their breath for one hour. Tuatuara have an egg tooth to help them hatch out of their egg. The tuatara have a third eye when it is three weeks old a few scales cover the eye. Baby tautara often look for food during the night so the bigger tuatara won't eat them in the day.
Tuatara eat beetles, baby birds, and sometimes baby weta.
Most tuatara can live to be about sixty years, but some can live to be a hundred years. Tuatara are cold blooded so they bask in the sun to get warm. The tuatara absorbs sunlight.
